So many of us have been so lucky to have grown up in a town where we got to have many sets of parents beyond our own - and Steve certainly treated all of us Scott kids like his bonus kids. He was an absolute inspiration, and I will never forget his work ethic, sense of humor, or his kindness. Steve was one in a million, and we are all so lucky that we got to share of best childhood memories with him - so many of my memories of 4-H and FFA in San Diego County include Steve. He sold me the lamb that I loved more than anything in the world (Midnight) and taught me so much about how to raise, breed, and show sheep. Plus, he clearly cared about teaching us and had a real heart of gold. I am truly, truly so sorry that this world has lost Steve, because he was one of the great one that build our small town into what it is today.

He always had that giggle and kind words for everyone. I'll always treasure the years we spent running the livestock department with the best crew ever at DMF way back when in the good ol days. My profound condolences to the entire family.
