Hi Lori,
I am so sorry to be reading about the loss of your Mother. I also just learned your father passed away in 2001. I lost my father, John A. Thomas in March, 2014. Your father and my father were cousins. I don't think I ever met you; however, I heard so much about you from your Grandparents when my Grandmother visited them. I hope you get this message, my e mail is d_everroad@yahoo,com. I was trying to look your family up to ask a question about Emile J. Menard and learned of your parents' passing. I am so sorry, I have enjoyed the stories about the Menard's all through the years. May the spirit of their lives and love live on in and through you.

I met Marlene in 2002 when I bought her house. She was kind spirited and gentle and that is what I felt about the house and the land that she loved so well. Little did I know, I actually had met her and her husband, Dean, years before that at a Craft Fair where I bought her wreaths and daffodils. These must be the same daffodils that line the driveway now as I write. They sprout every Fall after a good rain and are now well on their way. I think about Marlene every time I see them blooming. Lori, take comfort in knowing your mom left a wake of goodwill and kindness that spread behind her as she traveled through life. These are tangible things, as people pass on how they are treated by others and try to emulate those that make them feel good about themselves.
Take care,
Roxanne Davis
