Jane Huber Obituary

On July 28, 2025 Jane La Rae Huber of Carson, Washington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Glendive, Montana, on June 29, 1954, alongside her twin sister, to John and Hulda (Miller) Huber.

Jane grew up on the family farm on C.B. Route and eventually moved to Terry. From there she moved to Laurel, MT. After many years in Laurel, Jane decided to move to Keizer, Oregon to be closer to family. Once she retired, she moved to Carson, Washington to again be closer to her brother Duane and family.

Jane loved experimenting in the kitchen and finding new recipes, which she would then insist family taste-test her latest creation. Whether they were ready or not. She enjoyed her garden and feeding the birds and squirrels that came to visit. Jane also found joy in the little things-like zipping around the yard on the big riding lawn mower or cheering for the Denver Broncos and having spirited conversations with her brother Duane. She also had a special place in her heart for her four-legged companion, Frankie Wiggle Butt, who never failed to bring a smile to her face. Most of all, Jane treasured her time with family and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hulda Huber; her twin sister, Judy Stickel; her brother, Richard Huber; and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Huber.

She is survived by her brother Duane Huber; nieces Michelle (Gary) Elfrink and Brandee Huber; nephew Ryan (Erin) Stickel; great-nephew Jordan Rodriguez; great-nieces Skyler Elfrink, Charli Elfrink and Lexi Stickel; and numerous cousins.

Jane's big heart, humor, sarcasm and generosity will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

A service will be held for family and close friends at 11:00 a.m. on September 20, 2025 at the farm. Following the service, for all friends and family, there will be a gathering and luncheon at the American Legion in Terry, at 1:00 p.m., to honor and celebrate Jane's life and the joy she shared with everyone she loved.
