Barbara Cahill Obituary

HOT SPRINGS - Barbara M. Falvey Cahill died at Custer Community Hospital on January 7, 2004. She was born January 19, 1925 in Worcester, Massachusetts and attended schools there. She graduated from St. Vincent's Hospital Nurses Training School in Worcester. She worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Framingham, MA where she met and married Charles H. Cahill, now deceased. She also worked as a staff nurse in VA hospitals in Long Beach, California, Denver, Colorado and finally retiring after 34 years of government service at the Hot Springs VA Hospital. She leaves one sister, Marlene Monroy of rural Hot Springs, a nephew, Thomas Monroy, his wife Wendy and their daughter, Marisa, all of Plymouth, Massachusetts and a niece, Cathy Monroy of Long Beach, California. Wake services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at 7 p.m. at McColley's Chapel of the Hills, Hot Springs. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Hot Springs. Burial will be Tuesday, Feb. 17 in the early afternoon at St. John's Cemetery, Worcester, Mass. McColley's Chapels of the Hills is in charge of arrangements.
