Dear Family,
Each day I am reminded of the loss of Doug's life as I hold each of you in my prayers. I know at times the reality of it just does not seem possible and then there are other moments when you are blown over and are grasping to hold on to what life you have left. Through it all, even though we are seperated by many miles I want you to know I am with you in my thoughts and prayers. I also believe that even though Doug has crossed over that threshold, he like so many others are a part of that "Great Cloud of Witnesses" mentioned in Hebrews, here cheering us on as we continue to run this race we call life. May you sense God's Presence in all that is around you, in the sunrise and sunset, in the wind as it howls, and in the meadow lark as it sings. May you know as close as God is with us through these things He is also with Doug, so Doug is as close to us as God is with us. May His peace bring healing today.

My deepest condolances to Doug's family and friends. My memories of Doug are mostly from childhood and the Alkali school. Doug had a natural goodness about him and I know he was a good man. Doug and his family are in my prayers.

It was such a shock to hear of Doug's passing. We didn't know Doug real well but it didn't take us but a minute to find a great memory of him. On one of our trips up with Donna for branding, David and I fondly remember working with him in the shoots and him always having a joke or comment to share to make us laugh!! Our deepest sympathy goes out to the entire family!!

I just learned this morning of Doug's passing & was truly shocked & saddened. Larry Reinhold told me at Christmas that Doug was pretty sick & I deeply regret not having contacting him then. I have known Doug since grade school days & fondly remember the times we had in high school & graduating together. I cannot begin to fathom the loss & emptiness you must feel, but please take some comfort to know that your family is highly thought of & cared for not only by myself, but many, many others. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do...

To the Keffeler Family:
Words could never express our feelings for all of you today, nor could they take your pain away! We want you all to know that we will be there for you all and we will miss Doug's fun loving self and his zest for life! We are all blessed to have known Doug and his deep love for his family!

Ralph, Betty, and kids you have built such a strong family unit and you gave Doug a life filled with wonderful memories, that most never have the opportunity to experience.

Shari and John, you have completed this circle of love and have showed the world what a true family is! It was always very evident the love Doug had for you both. Shari you gave Doug the greatest gift ever, your love and a wonderful Son (every Man's dream). John, you truly are a spittin' image of your Dad and it is so evident that you are a Man with his father's zest of life! You take care of Mom and always know that you have a huge circle of friends that will help in anyway we can!

You must all know that your circle of friends have their arms wrapped tightly around you and will support you now and in the time yet to come!

Thanks to God for he has allowed us all the opportunity to know Doug and his wonderful outlook on life! He lived it to the fullest!

Our Deepest Sympathy and greatest prayers for you all!

Our Prayers and deepest sypathies are extended to each and every one of Doug's family, immediate and extended and shirt tail relatives and anybody who knew this man. This earth has lost one of it's sure treasures, because if you knew Doug you knew a treasure wheather you knew it or not. There wasn't anything that he wouldn't do for anybody, great sense of humor and I don't think he ever knew a stranger. I couldn't make the service due to my health but was there in spirit be assured. I met Doug in the early 80's and always considered him one of the best friends anyone could have this side of the crust, that is for sure. He was a good neighbor and always great to run with when we were all truckin back then. I know he's got both sticks up against the dash now and you know he's gougin on it and just a STROLLIN....Keep on Keepin on Doug until we meet again. My condolences again to all the family, Doug will be deeply missed for sure.

You have all been in our prayers. Loved Doug's humor. All the times we passed the confetti back and forth. The time he came and helped me move my Mom, brought old Rusty to Rapid for me. Helped take pictures of our house in Sturgis. What a great father and husband to Sheri. He will be missed but well remembered. It is sad for us but a new beginning for Doug because he is now with the Lord. Will see you all soon. Judi and Alan Harwood

To the entire Keffeler family,
Doug was such a special guy a friend to everyone and happy all the time. He was very special and dear to a lot of people in the area. His loss will be missed by everyone and though he will be missed most of all by all of you he will always be missed by the peoples lives that he touched. God will truly have a wonderful angel with him who taught others how to be a friend and how to laugh even when times are rough. I know that God is holding each of you in the palm of his hands right now to give you strength thru this sad time in your lives. Please let me know if there is anything that me or my family can do for you at anytime.

For all of Doug's Family,
My condolences and deepest sympathy for all of you. Doug was one of the greatest influences on the direction of my life. I always tried to copy his style when I was young because of the way he lived his life. He always emulated his class in the way he treated family and friends. I will forever have the fondest of memories of the times we ran together and the great times we had. I can only hope that people can treat others part of the time the way Doug treated others all of the time. May you ride the green pastures in Heaven in good health until we meet again pardner.
