James (Jim) was born to Carl R. and Ellen (Sahl) Anderson January 3, 1948 in Wagner, SD. Jim, Barb (Al) Ridgway (Beulah, WY), and Pat (Terry) Zolnowsky (Piedmont, SD) were Wagner area "farm" kids until about 1953 when Dick became a construction worker. The family relocated wherever the job was-Black Hills of SD and Minnesota a couple times where Chris Buxton, (Gillette, WY) was born and North Dakota where Peggy (Greg) Thomson (Rapid City, SD) joined the family. After 40+ years working for Diamond Salt (later Cargill) and retirement, Jim established a home in the Datil, NM area.
Jim spent his retirement years with his dog Crockett and numerous mules of every size. Throughout his life, training dogs and parading mules were two of Jim's favorite pastimes as well as exploring the continental US on his motorcycle, often attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally whenever he could.
Jim is survived by his son Brian Eitemiller; daughter-in-law Rose; grandson Landon; his daughter Brenda Anderson Trosin and son-in-law Brad as well as the sisters mentioned above, their families and the multitude of friends he made wherever he lived and traveled. He will be greatly missed.
