Lois E. Bowman

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Lois E. (Champion) Bowman of Springfield, Oregon, died Dec. 27, 2005, of a longtime cancer-related illness. She was born April 19, 1921 in Owanka, S.D. to James R. and Mary H. (Nachtigall) Champion. She was 84 and was one of 14 siblings. She grew up in Keystone, S.D. She married Harold N. Bowman June 4th in Chadron, Nebr. She is survived by her son Jerry and daughter-in-law Judy Bowman of Springfield, Oregon; two granddaughters, three great-grandsons, one great-great-granddaughter; three brothers, Arthur Champion of Farmington, Minn., Paul Champion of Rapid City, S.D., and Richard Champion of Roseburg, Oregon; four sisters, Elizabeth Baier of Canistota, S.D., Margaret (McClure) Buntrock of Rapid City, S.D., Myrtle Cox of Saginaw, Mich., and Opal Warner of Richfield, Minn. Preceded her in death, her parents, her husband Bud, son Thomas, three sisters, three brothers. Private burial was in Springfield, Ore., Jan. 8th, 2006.
