Louise (Heiser) Christianson
September 10, 1951 - October 20, 2025
LITTLETON, CO - Louise (Heiser) Christianson passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, in Littleton, Colorado, at the age of 74.
Born on September 10, 1951, on a family farm in Eureka, South Dakota, Louise was the youngest of four children born to Adam and Irene Heiser. She spent her early years surrounded by the wide-open prairies and close-knit community of rural South Dakota. Her family later moved to the Black Hills region, where Louise's love for learning and strong work ethic began to take root.
A proud graduate of Lead High School in South Dakota class of 1969, Louise pursued vocational training in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she became a certified assistant lab technician. She began her professional journey at Homestake Hospital before embarking on a remarkable 30-year career with Homestake. There she worked in the hospital, the Mechanical department, and in the Metallurgical Laboratory. Her diligence and integrity left a lasting impression on both colleagues and supervisors.
While working full-time at Homestake, Louise continued to challenge herself academically. She earned her degree in accounting from Black Hills State University in 1986-a testament to her perseverance and intellectual curiosity. Never one to shy away from hard work, she also took on night shifts and weekend jobs at a casino, Walmart, and the Holiday Inn to support her family and further her career goals. After Homestake closed its doors, Louise relocated to Colorado, where she continued her professional life as an accountant with Marriott until her retirement around 2015.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Louise was deeply devoted to her family. She married Curt Christianson on December 28, 1970-a partnership that spanned nearly 55 years. Together, they raised three children: Amanda Ciatti (Steve) of Bellingham, Washington; Casey Christianson of Greeley, Colorado; and Beth Soelzer (Josh) of Colorado Springs. Louise found great joy in supporting their many activities over the years-from ballet recitals and music performances to soccer games and track meets. She was also a loving grandmother to six grandchildren: Austin, Christian, and Caleb Soelzer; Sophia, Tessa, and Michael Ciatti. Her presence will be deeply missed in their lives.
Louise is also survived by her sister, Katherine White (Jim) of Boise, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Irene Heiser, and brothers Larry and LaRue Heiser. Louise's life was marked by resilience, dedication to learning, a tireless work ethic, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved most. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
