Perry Rader Obituary

RAPID CITY - Perry Rader, 45, Rapid City, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at his home in Rapid City. His Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday. Father John Rader will be the Celebrant. Burial of his cremains will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Church cemetery, Hoven. Organist will be Alice Simon, St. Anthony's Catholic Church Choir will sing Eucharistic minister will be Elaine Seurer and Lector will be Chuck Simon. Mass servers will be Colton Hageman and Jeff Hageman. Offertory gift bearers will be Dana Brehmer, Andre Carter, Kurt Niemiller and Jeff Rundall. There will be a Wake Service at the church 5 p.m. Sunday. The Rader family prefers memorials to the St. Anthony's Church Restoration Fund, PO Box 98, Hoven, SD 57450. Perry Michael Rader, son of Merici (Schaefer) and Robert William Rader, was born at Hoven, SD on December 28, 1959. He was raised and educated in Hoven. Perry attended St. Anthony's Parochial School Elementary School and graduated from Hoven High School with the Class of 1978. He was employed at the Collision Center Auto Body Shop in Rapid City for many years as a car painter. Perry enjoyed reminiscing and laughing with his friends about the good old days. Like his Dad, he was a prankster and had great sense of humor often outwitting his Dad. Perry spent many happy hours playing his electric guitar and "jamming" with friends. He was a member of a few rock and roll bands namely "Benny Puppet", "Josey" and "Strut". Perry also enjoyed playing pool and foosball and looked forward to seeing Hoven pool players when they would come to Rapid City for the State Pool Tournament. Perry is survived by his mother, Merici Rader of Hoven; 2 brothers: Jim Rader of Papillion, NE and Richard Rader of Rapid City; 1 sister Faye Roscoe and her husband Mike of Gilroy, CA; and 2 nephews Christopher and David Roscoe. He was preceded in death by his father on November 26, 2003. Honorary bearers will be the HHS Class of 78. Miller Funeral Home, Bowdle, is in charge of arrangements.
