Kenneth L. Skaw
HAMILTON – Kenneth L. Skaw, age 91, passed away May 14, 2021. Kenneth was born February 19, 1931, in Great Falls, Montana, to Herman and Florence (Whitehorn) Skaw. He graduated high school in Darby, Montana and attended the University of Montana, in Missoula. He met and married, Margarete Schimpl. To that union they brought four children. Kenneth was a career Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army. He spent 30 years in the infantry and military intelligence, serving during the Viet Nam War. He enjoyed spending his free time volunteering for the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Florence; 12 siblings; and a son, Lyle Skaw. He is survived by Allan Skaw, of Ottawa, Canada; Sandra Smith, of Peachtree, Georgia; Patricia Leistner, of Tampa, Florida; Jennifer Skaw, of Hamilton, Montana; 5 grandchildren; and a great grandchild. A graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 3:15 p.m., at Riverview Cemetery, Hamilton, Montana. Condolences for the family may be made at www.dalyleachchapel.com

We are so sorry to hear of Ken's passing. We served with him in Germany at Heidelberg Kaserne for 10 years. Ken was a great friend and helped us out. He will be missed greatly.
