My late husband, Wally Rice, loved and respected Ben as well as my lovely current spouse Jimmie McKinnon. I will miss his kind hugs at Abels and his friendly smiles and conversation. I'm kind of a newbie in Pike County MO (19 years) so I didn't really get to know Ben well but I know Wally and Ben are fellow shipping together now. No more cancer pain for either one.

Sad to hear of Ben's passing. He was always a blessing to me when I was the Pastor of Faith Baptist Church. I remember one time in particular when a bus from the school district was being auctioned and he saw that I was there to bid on it and literally let us get the bid. He was always a generous and kind man and a joy to have known. Prayers for the family.
