Vivian Vorhis Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Arnold Funeral Home with Ellen Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton.
Visitation is Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Vee was born May 16, 1953 in Fulton; the son of Orville H. and Mary Frances (McClintic) Vorhis.
Mr. Vorhis graduated from North Callaway High School and then the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Husbandry and Agriculture Education. Later, he obtained a Master's Degree in Practical Arts Vocational Technical Education.
In 1976, Vee started teaching Agriculture Education in the public school system. After retiring, he managed an apartment building and a retail store in Branson from 2005-2010. He also worked at Wonneman's Flowers for 15 years.
Survivors include one brother, Orville H. Vorhis, of Hatton; and one sister, Helen F. Vorhis, of Hatton. Vee was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the University of Missouri Agriculture Education Program. All may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, Mo. 65265.
