Albert Forrest Obituary


Albert D. Forrest Jr., 83, of Carnarvon Township, Lancaster County and formerly of Philadelphia, died Dec. 31, 2012, at ManorCare Health Services, Spring Township.

He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Mary Catherine (Campbell) Forrest, whom he adored. They were married for 62 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Albert D. Sr. and Florence (Smalley) Forrest.

Albert was a U.S. Army

veteran serving in the occupation of Germany from 1951 to 1953.

He was employed as a Corrosion Protection Engineer for the Philadelphia Gas Works for 28 years.

Albert was a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Mohnton.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and greatgrand-father, he loved his family, friends and life in general.

In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by three children: Rosemary Reigle, Karen, wife of David Esola and Albert D. III, husband of Mary Catherine Forrest.

Other survivors include six grandchildren: Cory Dunsmore, Rachel Esola, Albert D. Forrest IV, Sarah Esola, Erin Forrest and Steven Reigle; and five great-grandchildren: David Mead, Albert D. Forrest V, Jayden Forrest, Juliana Mead and Gabrielle Forrest.

He is also survived by two brothers, Donald and Richard. Albert was predeceased by one brother, Jack Forrest.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Saint Benedict's Church, 2020 Chesnut Hill Rd., Mohnton, PA 19540. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in Robeson Cemetery, Robeson Township.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Mary and the rest of the family. Uncle Al will be sorely missed.
We will always remember and be thankful for all the camping trips. Many, many fond memories were made at Pebble Rock!
