Anne Cunningham Obituary


Anne M. Cunningham, 77, of Lenhartsville, died in her residence May 16, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of S. Lee Cunningham to whom she was married for 56 years.

Anne was born in Sellersville and was the daughter of the late Franklin and Anna Clymer.

She was a 1956 graduate of Pennridge High School and a 1959 graduate of Allentown School of Nursing.

Anne worked as a registered nurse her entire career and last worked as a critical care nurse at St. Luke's Hospital, Quakertown Campus, until her retirement.

She was a faithful member of the Bridge Church, Windsor Township.

In addition to her husband, Anne is survived by three children: Leianne, widow of James Munch, Bernville; Kelly, wife of Terry Templin, Mohnton; Sean, husband of Kim Cunningham, Bethlehem; five grandchildren: Caitlin,

Justin, Kelsey, Krystal and Brian; and a great-grandson, Brantlee. Additional survivors include six brothers: Franklin, Robert, David, Barry, Jerry and Paul Clymer.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Bridge Church, P.O. Box 422, 3561 Old 22, Hamburg, PA. A visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bridge Church at the above address.

Anne was one of the finest nurses that I had the privilege of working with.She worked tirelessly giving patients excellent care while always ready to assist her coworkers any way she could.My deepest sympathy to all her family and friends.She was given an angel at her retirement dinner which truly represented who she was.
