Barbara Gable Obituary

Barbara Joan (Aspinall) Gable, born July 20, 1941 in Reading, PA, passed away peacefully October 2, 2011 at the Reading Hospital.

Raised in Reading, Barbara was a graduate of Reading High School. She worked in direct sales and then in the banking industry prior to retirement. Her greatest accomplishments were her roles as beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend.

She enjoyed crafting, going to yard sales, shopping, listening to patriotic music, telling jokes and spending time with those she loved.

Her five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Chloe, Max, Tessa and David Jr., felt love every moment "Nanny" spent with them. She never missed an opportunity to tell and show them how special they were to her and how she loved them. Her memory will be forever in their hearts.

She is survived by two sons: David J. Dracha, husband of Allison, and Kirk B. Dracha, husband of Daphne, five grandchildren and her treasured friend, Robert Richards.

Other survivors included three nieces, Lori Reinhart, Lisa Reich, Jamie Reich, and their families.

Barbara was predeceased by her late husband, Robert Gable, mother, Antoinette Aspinall, and sister, Janet Reich.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the Kopicki-Bradley Funeral Home, 239 South 9th Street, Reading, 19602, on Saturday, October 8, 2011, from 9 to 10 a.m. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Berks County Memorial Garden, Fleetwood, 19522.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Barb was and still is a great lady. She was funny and witty who loved her children and grandchildren. She always made me laugh with her great sense of humor. Our slogan was "How Nice" of which I will not forget the story behind it. I will miss her. Please take care for she is watching over you and is now bringing sunshine in Heaven.
