Born on April 14, 1953, in Pottsville
Hospital, she was a daughter of Helen B. (Heffner) Kuhn, of Muhlenberg Township, and the late Harry M. Kuhn. She was the wife of Richard D. Futchko, who died April 29, 1977.
Barbara was a 1971 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and a 1974 graduate of The Reading Hospital School of Nursing.
She was employed several years as a registered nurse in the Birth Center of the Reading Hospital and later worked as a medical transcriptionist, last working in February.
Barbara loved the seashore, especially Wildwood, N.J., and she traveled to most all of the country's states.
She was the hostess for most all of the special holidays.
Barbara loved her family deeply and she cherished each one.
She is also survived by a son, Jeffrey R., husband of Emese (Molnar) Futchko, of Maidencreek Township,
and a brother, Christopher A. Kuhn, of Pottstown.
Other survivors include two grandchildren, Caiden A. Futchko and Abigail Z. Futchko, both of Maidencreek Township, and her former spouse, Gene L. Klopp.
Additional survivors include many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The love in our family grows strong and deep, leaving us memories to treasure and keep.
A viewing will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes &
Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, PA 19605. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor William Parish presiding. Barbara was of the Covenant United Methodist Church. Interment will take place in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. A reception will follow at Crossroads Family Restaurant, where we can all recall past happy memories of Barbara's life.
