Born August 15, 1947, in Berks County, he was a son of Ruth (Nester) Seidel and the late Belvin Seidel.
Mr. Seidel was a veteran of the Navy and was an avid golfer.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Seidel; two sons, Barry Seidel, husband of Karen, Shreveport, La., and Bryan Seidel, husband of Lori, Mountain Home, Ark.; and four grandchildren: Bradley, Grant, Lauren and Blake.
Also surviving is his mother, Ruth Grace, and a sister, Sue Kraft, husband of Earl “Tink” Kraft, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4 A Oak Branch Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407. Online condolences may be left at www.hayworth-miller.com.

Barry was a wonderful and thoughtful person, he was a joy to work with. Barry is only gone for a little while and we will meet again. Barry always ask about my sister who has pancreatic cancer..I pray that GOD will give you grace during this time...

Carolyn and family,
Barry will forever be my golf partner and friend. I will think of him every time I stand on the first T at Wilshire. We laughed a lot during our rounds. Hit them long and straight Barry, I will miss you!

I worked with Barry for several years before he was diagnosed with cancer. He was a joy to be around and he was a great friend. He would always come by work and walk around and talk to the people that he worked with. He always had something good to say about everyone. He will be missed
