Bruce Wanner Obituary

Bruce D. Wanner, 89, of West Lawn, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, in the care of Reading Hospital. Born in Reading to the late Forrest P. Wanner and Loretta (Falter) Loucks, Bruce graduated from Reading High School '50. Bruce was active in his church, St. John's Lutheran Church of Sinking Spring. He was also active with the West Lawn Seniors and Spring Township Seniors. He served in the United States Army. He worked for Fred G. Hodges Bedding Co. for many years. When Hodges closed, Bruce accepted a position with Omega Medical Laboratories. Bruce had a good voice and enjoyed singing as well as dancing with the Lehigh Valley B&B Square and Round Dance Club. Left to treasure Bruce's memory are his children: Ann Correll of Wernersville; David B. Wanner of Dallas, TX; and Eric M. Wanner of Sinking Spring; his grandchildren: Sean M. Correll of Douglasville; and Katie E. Giannotti (Santo) of Wyomissing; and his pride and joy, his great grandchildren, Ari and Leo Giannotti. He is also survived by his brothers, Forrest Wanner (Jean) of Reading and Paul Wanner (Joan) of West Lawn, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Wayne Wanner and Roy Loucks. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bruce's memory may be offered to St. John's Lutheran Church at address below. Services for Bruce will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4125 Penn Ave, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 with committal to follow at Sinking Spring Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the start of services. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, is entrusted with arrangements.
