She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander E. Sweeney. She is survived her companion, Marvin Boyer. Carol was born in Reading on February 8, 1943, a daughter of the late
Raymond and Sadie (Balthaser) Rothermel.
She was employed by Palmer Corporation as a braided hose operator for around 15 years.
Carol is survived by her 2 sons, Troy D. and his wife,
Michelle Kemmerer, of Mohrsville, and Alan M. Sweeney, and her 2 grandchildren, Weston and Elizabeth.
Services will be Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Auman's, Inc., Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd.,
Reading. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be Wednesday 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604.

RIP Carol! Carol was my next door neighbor growing up on Church Street. She use to sneak me Heavy Metal tapes like Guns N Rose and Def Leppard!! Thank you Carol!!!
