He was predeceased by his wife, Jane L. (Fritz) Solley.
Born in Clearfield, he was a son of the late James L. and Emma (Gambler) Sol-ley.
He was the owner and operator of the former Solley's Exxon, Stony Creek Mills, for many years until retiring.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was also a life member of the Lower Alsace Fire Company.
He is survived by his son, James W. Solley, and wife, Shirlene, of Alsace Township; and his daughter, Beverly A. Rubright, of Lancaster.
He is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private at the family's convenience.
Blankenbiller Funeral Home, Oley, is in charge of arrangements.
