He was the husband of Irene A. (Toye) Staley who passed away September 4, 1984.
Born in South Mountain, Franklin County, on February 28, 1923, he was the son of the late George and Laura (Naugle) Staley.
George was employed for more than 20 years as a machinist by Trim Master Corp. until his retirement. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
George enjoyed going to the Berkshire Mall and Wegman's Restaurant to socialize with his friends.
Surviving are a daughter Bonnie L. (Staley) wife of Kevin W. McMullen of Kenhorst; and 2 step grandchildren Lt. Kevin W. McMul-len, Jr., USMC and Molly B. McMullen.
He was predeceased by 7 brothers, Horace, Crawford, Willis, Clarence, Alvin, Glen and Ray; and 2 sisters, Elsie and Esther.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave., Shillington. Rev. Richard H. Clement will officiate. Friends will be received Saturday 9 to 10 a.m. Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery.
