Damon Zettlemoyer Obituary
Damon S. Zettlemoyer, 22, Fleetwood, departed this life Thursday morning, Oct. 22, 2009, in Richmond Township, as the result of a traffic accident.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Kimberley A. (Durst) Zettlemoyer, Fleetwood, stepson of Dewitt C. McDaniel III, Fleetwood; and son of Robert F. Zettlemoyer Jr., Fleetwood.
Damon's interests included fishing, playing the guitar, target shooting, playing basketball, physical training and restoring cars.
He was known best for having fun.
He is survived by his mother Kimberley; stepfather, Dewitt; father, Robert; maternal grandparents, Al and Margaret Durst, Philadelphia; paternal grandmother, Marylou Zettlemoyer, Topton; brothers, Robert F. Zettlemoyer III and Zachary M. Zettlemoyer, both of Fleetwood; and a half brother, Albert Zettlemoyer, Blandon.
Also surviving are seven aunts, five uncles, 18 cousins, a nephew and a niece.
A viewing will be held on Monday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Mae A. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 117 W. Main St., Fleetwood. Funeral services will be private. Online condolences may be made to www.readingeagle.com.

Kim, Dee, Bobby and Zack my heart goes out to all of you for your loss. I will always remember Damon at our house in Fleetwood and how him and Bobby did so much together since 8th grade. I will always remember our trip to the Outer Banks and Damon carrying our picnic table down to the basement over his head. Another classic memory was one New Year's Eve when it was just Bobby, Damon and I at the house in Fleetwood. My date had cancelled on me and I had a bottle of champagne so I broke out these beautiful hollow stem glasses that belonged to my parents since they were married and I poured them each a glass of champagne and we watched the ball drop in Times Square on TV. Damon was a wonderful person and I will miss him and remember him always. His spirit and soul will live on.

Damon and Bobby(Werley) came down to my house to work on my wall, They were hard workers. It was nice to need Bobby and Zack and the rest of the family. Let Tisha and Bob or Chris if you need anything.

Kim and family I just want you all to know that my deepest sympathy goes out to you. I wish I could make your pain go away. The day you told me I was so taken back. Such a tragic accident!!!! I remember Damon well! He was a great kid when I had him as a student many years ago. Judging by all of the comments here he was also a great man. To all of Damon's friends and family, our family will have you in our thoughts.

Kim, Dee and family,
Our boys were always together and I want to thank you for letting Damon be a part of our lives. Remembering the good times and taking him with on vacation meant so much to us. You raised your boys to be respectful and thoughtful young men, you should be so proud of them. I can't tell you how we are all greiving, he was like a son to us. Kim and family, I dont know if you remember me my name is Danielle (Heather Schmidts sister) your sons went to school with my daughter Samantha Stefanyak. Samantha was in very bad car accident on Oct 8th, she is suffering from a severe brain injury.
