David Paul Fick

1937 - 2024

David Paul Fick, 86, formerly of Oley, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Laureldale Skilled Nursing Center. Born on November 3, 1937, in Reading, he was the son of the late Paul O. and Helen (Manwiller) Fick. During his life, he worked for Boscov's as a Warehouse Supervisor, until retirement. David loved bowling, woodworking, and shooting pool. He was a member of The Moose Lodge of the Hamburg Chapter and a member of the Fleetwood Legion. David is survived by his children Susan A. Yost, wife of Greg, of Hamburg; Denise Hebhardt, significant other of Shaun of Fleetwood; Stacey Younker, wife of Rodney, of Leesport; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Barry Fick; Ruth Heller; Nancy Reider; Ralph Fick; Leonard Fick; and Elsie Vickers. He was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Burkholder, who passed away on September 7, 2011, and his siblings, Daniel Fick, Robert Fick, Mary Keller, Barbara Frederick, Alfred Fick, and Benjamin Fick. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 1605 Rockland Street Reading, PA 19604 on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 11:00am. Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate. Interment will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive family and friends prior from 10:00am-11:00am and on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the funeral home from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
