David Riegel Obituary

David L. Riegel David L. Riegel, 66, passed away in his home with his kids by his side on March 1, 2021. He was born November 23, 1954 in Reading, a son of the late Marvin C. and Margaret (Peg) Riegel. He is survived by his daughter Rachel Lloyd, wife of Kyle and their daughter Jemma. Also his son Andy Riegel, husband of Tara and their daughter Daria and son Landon. His most enjoyable time was spent with his kids and especially the grandkids. He is also survived by four brothers: Mark Riegel, husband of Cindy, Oley; Bruce Riegel, husband of Chris, Ambler; Matt Riegel, husband of Tamara, Morgantown, WV; Seth Riegel, husband of Wenonah, Birdsboro; and all their kids and grandkids. He was an avid sports fan. Phillies, Sixers, Penn State football, and Eagles being his favorite. After the Eagles Super Bowl win he not so jokingly said, “I can now die in peace!” He worked hard and played even harder with few regrets. Dave’s close friends all know his motto, “I don’t give a _ and _ you if you don’t like it!!!” Dave suggests to his friends, go out and have a couple in his memory and look either up or down depending on where you think he may have ended up! Services are private at the convenience of his family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.

My condolences to family and friends. I remember the goalie at Wilson soccer. Nothing but blue skies in his eyes.

Dave was sure one of the “fun cute guys” in our Wilson class of ‘72. So sad to read that he has passed. Condolences to his family. There are comments coming in on our class of ‘72 FB page. I hope his family can see them.

Sincerest condolences for Rachel and Andy, and the rest of Dave’s family. We’ve missed them since they moved away from Lincoln Park.

I last saw Dave a few years ago. There was the same smiling, enthusiastic greeting, I remembered from every time we crossed paths since high school. He knew how to enjoy himself, often resulting in "patriotic eyes", reddened whites with his bright blue. Rest in peace, Dave.

Dave was a great guy. He enjoyed life to the fullest. Even when he was suffering he still had that dave sense of humor. I will miss him. I am so glad his family was with him.

The family was neighbors for many years. We will always remember the excitement that Dave brought to the neighborhood. We are thinking of the whole family at this time of loss. Sending prayers for each of you.
