Just left the inspirational celebration of life for Dean, who as the minister said certainly showed his Christianity by his deeds. He was the real deal and my heart breaks for all of his family/friends, especially my brother Jeff's, for Dean was a brother and he will never be replaced. As the minister read the poem "The Dash" it hit me - every day we should try to think about the Dean Hill dash and what we did like Dean, to spread love. I'm blessed to have known him.

My deepest sympathies to Dean's family, friends, and his students and faculty at Oley. He touched many lives. There will be a void without you. I will never forget your compassionate nature and need to lend a helping hand, and of course those River days... they were some of the best days of my life... boating, water skiing or just hanging out listening to music. It seems like another lifetime ago. RIP, my friend, and I hope you feel the love...

Dean was one of the most selfless person I knew..always willing to help. I worked with him for over 18 yrs. He could always be counted on to do the right thing..he faced many challenges within his own life, but always had a smile and a contagious laugh. I remember a conversation we had once about our summer break and he told me how he wished he could just work, cause he didn't know what to do with himself after a week..he was a dedicated, loving individual that will be missed..

Dino I am in total shock and so very sorry I won't be able to make your memorial , we go a long way back and have so many memories back to basketball games and football games you took me to we lost touch for a few years and reunited when I met Joe . All the great times on the river shooting the guns having cops come down and us telling the cops we have no clue as the cops walked in all the shells on the deck. I will always hold dear to my heart your friendship your support and just all the many great times but mostly all the guys pitching in to rebuild the deck where Joseph Hassler and I got married. I still remember you putting a sign on the other bedroom door Joe & Julie's room stay out guess we did spend a lot of time at the river and I would not trade any of them days especially when you said we might as well get married there... I remember you saying and joking however I give it a year and every year Joe would call you and say Ha Ha Dino make it yet another . Then Joe past away day after Christmas 2016 and you were there for me and now I can't be there to say until we meet again my dear friend. Lifetime friends don't come very often but I am blessed beyond words that you were one. Rest in Paradise Dino and keep an eye on Joe and no shanangans ok ! I'll be seeing you both so save me a seat . RIVER RATS reunite ❤

I am so thankful that we reconnected 2 yrs. ago since 1980. We had so much fun and laughs together and Mark gained a great friend and sports buddy. I never thought that last hug n kiss you gave us would be the last time we would see ya. Dean always told me his 2 girls was his greatest accomplishment, they were his pride and joy. Family meant everything to him. He was one of a kind, sweet, caring and just a stand up guy. He will be missed by us all especially that smile. My prayers go out to the entire Hill family. We love ya and will miss ya.

When people say-
He was the most loving person.
He would do anything for you or anyone else.
He would give you the shirt off his back.
He would make you smile...that was Dean
Even if he wasn't in the mood to smile, that person was Dean.
Dean was the most selfless person we have ever met.
Thank you Dean for taking the world on your shoulder, when it wasn't your shoulder it should have been on.
You look up the words integrity, honesty, loving, etc., it should have Dean's name next to it.
Rest in Peace Dean.
You were and are the world's last American Hero.
Thank You for going out of your way and taking care of Amanda and Brett. There wasn't a day that went by when Amanda wasn't telling us about all the things you did. They were always amazed and surprised by what they came home to. Just know they were always so appreciative of what you did for them and with them.
Cabo will definitely miss your honking tune every time your drove by. So will all of us.
Until we all meet again,
Lisa and Lou Fronina.

The last several days I have been in complete shock. Mr Hill was my teacher in the 80s. He was more then just a teacher but my cheerleader and mentor. Mr. Hill believed that I could be fully mainstreamed and faught for Me when others within the school system disagreed. As I went through to high school I was able to be his student aid for two years and he was a supporter of me going to college and believing that I would be successful no matter what I did with my life. The Oley Valley School District lost an amazing teacher. Mr. Hill will always live on in my memory. I keep his family in my thoughts and prayers

May many good memories help at this difficult time, and we know your faith will see you through. Still hard for all, especially his elders as we surely feel he was so young.
But in our hearts we know he is at peace and so we will honor his memory in every way possible.

As a young girl,I grew up in Fleetwood at #109 with the Hills truly like extended family to me. Reading all the comments tells me so much about Dean, and wish I had known him since he grew up. For Willy and Lorraine and everyone close to him, find
comfort and strength knowing he is at peace and your newest guardian angel. For me, a smile to think of him greeted by dear"Flossy and Hilly ",his Uncle Glenn,Aunt Fern and others who passed ahead of him.Blessings and God's peace to all,and know we are keeping you in our prayers.Sorry not to see you,but close in my heart always.

Judy Blume wrote: "Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives that we touch" and this couldn't be any more fitting than in your case. Your laughter and huge smile, along with your caring and compassion for your girls and your students, will be greatly missed. You leave behind a wonderful legacy in the lives of all that you have touched, both personally and professionally. It was a privilege to know you, and a blessing to call you a friend. May you rest in peace and may your family & students find comfort & healing in the days ahead.

Dean, Your heart was as big as your smile! Although I am deeply saddened that you didn't have more time to spend with us, I am sure that in your next life you will be doing whatever you can to lighten the load and brighten the day of those around you, just as you did here. God bless you and your family and I certainly hope we meet again someday, somewhere. Thank you for all the kind and loving things you did for so many. We are blessed to have known you.
