Demetra Aboulhouda

Demetra Aboulhouda, 83, formerly of Reading, passed away Aug. 25, 2011, at 12:30 p.m. in Car-lisle Medical Center. She was taken to the hospital from ManorCare Health Services in Carlisle.

She was the wife of the late Harry Aboulhouda who passed away in 1999.

Born in Athens, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Konstantinos and Pana-giota (Tsitsiris) Roussis. She was employed as a seamstress and was a member of St. Matthew's Greek Orthodox Church.

She is survived by her cousins Dimitrios and Voula Tsitsiris of Mechanicsburg; goddaughter Areti Tsitsiris Alafogiannis, wife of Billy Alafogiannis, and their daughter, Demetra Alafogi-annis, of Virginia.

She is also survived by Maria Tsitsiris Theodoratos, wife of Dennis Theodoratos, and their son, Dionisios Theodoratos, of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by brothers George and Constantine Roussis.

Services from Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 101 East Wyomissing Blvd., Reading, Tuesday at noon. Interment Charles Evans Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at church Tuesday 11 a.m. to noon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Matthew's Greek Orthodox Church, 8477 Allentown Pike, Blandon, PA 19510, in memory of Mrs. Demetra Aboulhouda.
