Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Jenalee Prutzman-Wanner.
Dennis was born January 21, 1935, and was the son of Frederick S. and Mary M. (Rhoads) Wanner.
He is survived by a son Dale Wanner, of Washington State. Dennis had one brother, Frank; and a sister, Annetli, who passed away at the age of 5 years.
Dennis was a Master Plumber and Master Electrician
until retiring in 2016. He loved his work of many years,
beginning with his father, and through the years. He
graduated from Reading High School and attended Penn State and completed one year of school in New York for Jet Engineers. Dennis' love of nature led to the working with his father, with fruit trees, vegetables and they were bee keepers for many years.
When he was five years old, he began piano lessons. He then went onto organ, and several instruments, including the tuba. Dennis enjoyed being in marching bands and other bands for many years. Dennis was a Grand Lodge of Masons Past Master (1972) of Chandler Lodge 227. Dennis was active for many years as a consistory teaching men through their steps. Worship for Dennis was Sunday nights at Rosedale Camp Grove.
Dennis was a step father to his wife Jenalee's adult
children; and her many grand and great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017, officiated by Kenneth Pickens, of Rosedale Camp Grove, at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading.
Contributions in his name may be given to the Human Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604.

Dale,
We are so sorry for your loss. I grew up beside you your father Dennis, and his late wife Carroll your mother. So many fond memories. Your father and late mother Carroll raised me like their own little girl. We are bound together for life. You father was a humble man. My family and I will never forget all they have taught and have done for us through the years.
May your journey forward be with peace, love and joy.
God Bless you and Lee.
Love,
Lisa, Jim, Chris & Connie Rose
