Born in Reading on April 12, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Gladys M. (Adams) Hughes.
Diann was a 1965 graduate of Twin Valley High School and Bryland Beauty School.
She was employed as a waitress at Saville's Diner in Boyertown for 23 years, last working April 2010.
Diann is survived by a daughter, Denise L. Thomas, with whom she last resided; two sons, Ronald C. Thomas Jr., Schwenksville; and Scott A. Thomas, Pottstown; and three brothers: Dennis C. Hughes, husband of Linda C., Papillon, Neb.; David C. Hughes, Reading; and Douglas C. Hughes, husband of Diane F., Mount Penn.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, with the Rev. Bruce E. Dalious officiating. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mi-chael's Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear you lost your beloved mother. It is a very difficult thing to experience and I'm sure you had a close bond with her. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and if you ever need to talk, as we have done in the past about our parents' illness, please do stop by my office anytime.

Oh my Gosh! Denise and Tom and Scott....I am so shocked and so very sorry about your mom! My heart hurts for my loss of a very, very dear friend and your loss of a wonderful, loving mother. Please, please contact me, Denise. Please. [email protected] I will dearly miss her! I moved to AZ in October last year. So sorry I can't be there for the viewing/funeral.
