?Dolores Arlene (Messimer) Calvaresi, 91, of Reading, PA passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Stoneridge Poplar Run. Born on July 09, 1931 in Duncannon, PA she was a daughter to the late John Messimer,Susan Mary (Steffy) Dehrs and Russell Dehrs Sr. For 50 years, Dolores worked at Ludens/Hershey as a 5th Avenue candy machine operator, retiring in 2000. She held memberships at Greenfields Fire Co., 15th Ward and Schuylkill Fire Co. Dolores was a creative person who enjoyed making ceramics, liked playing BINGO and had a passion for coin collecting. Dolores's spirit will be carried on by her daughter Suzanne Heft and her partner Ricky Geary; son Dennis Calvaresi and his wife Sheila; 3 brothers John Messimer, Kenny Messimer and Rusty Dehrs Jr.; 5 grandchildren Christopher Heft and his wife Holly, Matthew Heft and his wife Melissa, Angelina Gliem wife of the late Drew Gliem, Mary- Elizabeth Heft, Chad Calvaresi and his partner Sara; step grandson Tom Kelly; 6 great grandchildren Jarett, James, Isabella, Olivia, Chloe, Isaiah; step great grandson Justin and 2 great great granddaughters Lily and Elora. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her ex husband Phillip Calvaresi, her partner of 30 years William Neiheiser, 3 brothers Harold Messimer, Robert Messimer, William Steffy and 2 sisters Phyllis Hufford and Wilma Lenker. A prayer service for Dolores will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Auman's Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606, with Minister Sheryl Manzella officiating. Graveside committal will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dolores' memory may be made to Hope Rescue Mission, 645 N. 6th St., Reading, PA 19601.
