Born in Leesport, she was a daughter of the late John L.G. and Kathryn M. (Hottenstein) Dietrich.
Hix was employed for 22 years as a treasurer for Berks Enviro Tech Inc., West Reading.
She was a 1952 graduate of Ontelaunee High School.
Surviving are a son, Charles J. Hix Jr., Burton, Ohio; and four daughters: Kathleen A. Hix, with whom she resided; Cynthia E. (Hix) Bagenstose, Wyomissing; Cheryl S. (Hix) Thomas, Cumru Township; and Wendy J. Hix, Sinking Spring.
Other survivors include a brother, John Dietrich, Leesport.
There are also seven grandchildren: Jeffrey Hix, Kristyna Hix, Kevin Hix, Brant Thomas, Jaimie Thomas, Devlin Thomas and Brittany Bagenstose.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. The Rev. Willard Uhler will be officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service. Burial will be in St. John’s (Gernant’s) Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
