Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Oliveira, Laura (Alves) Oliveira Roppe and her step-father, Paul Roppe.
She was a sales manager for over 20 years working at the Reading Motor Inn; Holiday Inn on 5th Street, Reading; and retired from the Inn at Reading.
Dorothy loved her family and focused on raising her children and helping raise her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children: Gary P. Skokowski, Elmwood Park, NJ; Randy R. Skokowski and his wife, Stefanie, Wyomissing Hills; and Kelly A. Fidler, Wyomissing; one brother, Dennis Oliviera, Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and eleven grandchildren.
Services will be Monday, January 25, 2016, at 1 p.m., in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington. Friends may call Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Monday, from 12 to 1 p.m., in the funeral home.
