Douglas Folk Obituary

Douglas A. Folk, 66, Perry Township, died Nov. 14, 2008, at 2 a.m. in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township, where he had been a guest for 21/2 weeks.

He was the husband of Norma E. (Hill) Folk.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Perry and Arlene (Folk) Moser.

He was employed more than 15 years as an engineer for RAM Industries, retiring in 2006.

Folk was an Air Force veteran.

He was a member of Spring Valley Church of God, Muhlenberg Township, and the Academy of Model Aeronautics.

He enjoyed model airplanes, ham radio, computers and radio-controlled airplanes.

In addition to his wife he is survived by four children: Michael D. Folk, Ephrata; Gregory J. Riegel, Philadelphia; Ty R. Riegel, Grill; and Tamara R., wife of Jerry Getz, Mohnton.

There are also 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Darin E. Hirneisen, in 1997.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 1 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, with Pastor Robert E. Hinson officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Lebanon County. Viewing will be Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
