John D. Folk, 69, of Frostburg, passed away, Friday, January 9, 2026 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Born on January 25, 1956 at Fort Jackson Army Base, Columbia, SC to the late Leland "Whitey" Folk and Helen Folk. John worked for the Laborers Union 616 as a superintendent for Carl Belt Co. for 35 years. After retirement, he enjoyed visits with his great grandchildren, frequent trips to Atlantic City as well as tinkering with anything that had a motor.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cindy (Stafford) Folk; sons John Folk (Mandy) of Frostburg and Jeffrey Folk (Rosalie) of Bel Air, MD; grandsons Brady Folk (Jenna), Marcus Folk (Ellie); great grandchildren Mila, Maeven and Leland; brothers and sister, James Folk (Patricia), Virginia Goodwin (Mike) and Joesph Folk (Kathy) as well as his Stafford family, numerous nieces and nephews and a few great friends.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 6 to 8 pm.
Funeral Services will be at the funeral home Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 11:00am with a one hour viewing prior to the service.
Interment will be at Frostburg Memorial Park.
