Eli Yoder

Eli J. "Jerry" Yoder, 83, died October 17, 2018, in St. Francis Home, Cumru Township, where he had been a guest since October 4th.

He was the husband of Beverlyann (Boone) Yoder, whom he married October 5, 1963.

Born June 24, 1935, in West Chester, Pa., he was a son of the late Webster S. and Mildred E. (Rhoten) Yoder.

Jerry was a 1953 graduate of Wilson High School.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading, where he also served as a lector and Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Jerry was employed as the business manager for 26 years with Sacred Heart R.C. Church, before retiring March 14, 2018.

He is also survived by a daughter, Ann E. (Yoder), wife of Richard E. Schmehl, of Spring Township.

Other survivors include a sibling, Roxy Joy, wife of

Elwood Hain, of Kenhorst; a niece, Kristin Hain-Tusa, wife of Vincent Tusa, of Exeter Township; and a great-niece, Olivia Tusa, of Exeter Township.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday,

October 19th, at 11:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 740 Cherry Street, West Reading. There is no public viewing.

Burial will be private in St. Paul's (Lobach's) Cemetery, Oley.
