Michael J. Szychowski

Michael J. Szychowski, age 68, husband of Mary L. (DePietropaolo) Szychowski, of Oley, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Born on September 12, 1957 in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of Theresa (Ceppa) Szychowski of Reading, PA and the late Frank Szychowski.

Mike was a 1975 graduate of Pottstown High School. He was a self-employed residential electrical contractor, operating Szychowski Electrical for the past 37 years. He was immensely proud to have worked alongside his father, son, and son-in-law for many years.

Mike was a faithful attendee of The Real Church in New Jerusalem, where he served in the music ministry. He was a gifted guitar player, and he enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay and vacationing in Chincoteague, VA.

In addition to his wife of 49 years, Mike is survived by his two children, Marie, wife of Leroy Anders and Jake, husband of Lyndsey Szychowski; five grandchildren, Olivia, Ava, Dillan, Evan, and Emma; his mother Theresa Szychowski; a sister, Barbara, wife of Joe Brennan; and his niece and nephews, Kate, Greg, and Adam.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his celebration of life service at Connection Church, 755 S. Keim Street, Pottstown, PA 19465 on Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Pastor Earl Wise of The Real Church. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 am - 10:30 am in the Church on Tuesday morning.
