He was an Army Veteran.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Reading.
Surviving are his children, Ernest Schlottman and Wendy Laity, both of Schuylkill Haven; two granddaughters; a sister, Elsie; and very good friends, Fred and Ann Marie Wrobel, Reading.
Services will private, with burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
