I have many fond memories of Ferd as a classmate at Wyomissing High School. He was unpretentious and kind and possessed an unmatched subtle sense of humor. I always looked forward to seeing Ferd at our high school reunions and sharing some laughs about the good times we had during our high school days. I will miss Ferd. My condolences to Liz. On n behalf of the Lehigh Class of 1956, we offer deep condolences to Liz and Ferd's family.
At Lehigh, while earning a degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Ferd was a member of Sigma fraternity and Editor of the 1956 yearbook Epitome.
As Director of Planned Giving at Lehigh, he was instrumental in founding the Tower Society.
He was a generous and devoted class member, participating in all of our class reunions. He was the recipient of Lehigh's Franz award, Alumni Award and the Eugene Grace award.
We sorely miss our good friend and classmate Ferd.

I was honored to work with Ferd Thun, Director of Planned Giving, at Lehigh University in 80´s. He was an exceptional professional who brought in numerous Planned Giving accounts to Lehigh. Ferd also had a pleasant demeanor where people felt very comfortable discussing financial matters important to them.

Ferd was a distinguished classmate of the Wyomissing High School Class of 1952. He was a close friend with a gentle manner. I was proud to have spent my early school years with one so amiable and dependable.
