He was the loving and devoted husband of J. Louise (Armbruster) Nore. Born in Stowe, Pa., he was a son of the late Andrew G. and Rosa M. (Canceliere) Nore.
He was a 1952 graduate of Pottsgrove High School.
Gibby was a US Army veteran stationed in Italy.
He was employed by Firestone Tire and Rubber Co.
for 17 years until their closing. Later, he was self-employed in landscaping.
Gibby was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle
Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.
He enjoyed going to the casinos, cruises and gardening, and was an avid Yankees and Phillies fan.
Gibby will be remembered for having the biggest heart, always putting others first and the tremendous love he had for his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his niece, Rita, wife of Barry Templin, Douglassville; his nephew, Edward DeMatteo, Reading; six great-nieces and nephews; five great-great-nieces and nephews; his sister-in-law, Cynthia Nore; and his brother-in-law, Ronald Stranick, both of Stowe.
He was predeceased by two siblings, Ronald Nore and Phyllis Stranick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist de la Salle R.C. Church,
420 Holland St., Shillington, PA 19607. Entombment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John Baptist de la Salle R.C. Church Building Fund at the above address.
