He was the husband of Vivian R. (Shade) Christman.
Born in Oley, he was a son of the late William and Edna (Reppert) Christman.
He was a 1947 graduate of Oley Valley High School and was a member of American Legion Post 878, Oley, and Oley Fire Company.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He owned and operated Christman's Meat Market, Oley, from 1975 until 2005, remaining active in the business until his death.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, David A. Christman, and his wife, Ruth Ann, and a daughter, Donna M., wife of Douglass Kase, both of Oley.
Other survivors include a brother, William Christman, and his wife, Thelma, Pike Township.
Also surviving are six grandchildren: Jessica A. Wagner, Amy L. Moyer, Nathan A. Christman, Kimberly A. Seyler, Katelyn E. White and Kristin M. White; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley, on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in Friedens Cemetery, Oley. Friends and family are invited to attend the viewings on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.
