Born in Berks County, Ted, 84, was the son of George B. DeMoss and Martha I. DeMoss (née Dickert).
He was a graduate of the West Reading High School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During his successful career as a Structual and Civil Engineer, Ted worked for Western Electric and Gilbert Commonwealth. After working as a consultant for several years, he became a principal of Motley Associates, last working in February of 2015.
Ted was a member of both the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Professional Engineers Society. The latter recongnized him in the 1980s as its Structural Engineer of the Year. A Mason, Ted was always dedicated to giving back to his community and he shared his varied talents by serving as a Boy Scout Master for many years. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the West Lawn United Methodist Church where he was instrumental in the creation of the Hebrews Café.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, Angeline G. DeMoss, he is survived by his children, Kimber Lee Connelly of Hershey, PA; and Kent DeMoss, husband of Barbara DeMoss of Mohnton, PA. He is also survived by two step-children, Angela Darby Dickerson of Lubbock, Texas, and J. Todd Dickerson, husband of Jennifer Dickerson of Dallas, Texas. There are four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren surviving.
He was predeceased by two step-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held in West Lawn United Methodist Church, 15 Woodside Ave., West Lawn, PA 19609, Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Lawn United Methodist Church, at the above address, in memory of Mr. George T. DeMoss.

Dear Angie,
It breaks our heart to acknowledge Ted's passing away.
Both Nancy and I became very fond of him and never forgot him nor we will ever forget him. He remains near and dear to our hearts as always. Very often I quote him on many concepts/things and views he held. A very unique and a Dear individual in our lives indeed. Our Children Ravi and Kiran also send their condolences.
