Born February 22nd, 1924, she lived a blessed life filled with public service, family, honor and love. No mountain was too big for Georgia.
She carried and raised 5 children while she served as the Vice-President of Junior League of Women Voters; served as Chairwoman of the Reading Hospital Garden Party; first woman to run for the Pennsylvania state legislature in 1964; served on the Reading Housing Authority; and served on Reading's Redevelopment Authority.
When husband Jim took over the food and beverage operations of the Reading Motor Inn, Georgia managed the office and kept the books.
In 1979, Georgia and Jim became "new age" pioneers and built a ranch home of her design in the AZ desert, living in a 40 foot tractor trailer during construction. She then went to work for Bechtel as a scheduling engineer at Palo Verde 1981-'93.
When Jim suffered his first stroke in '93, she became a realtor to support her husband's network of clients at Coldwell Banker. Jim died in '95. Georgia finally retired in 2013 at the age of 89, but she still had referrals from loyal customers up to her dying day.
She loved her chair yoga, aquaerobics and tai chi classes and golfed three times a week. She golfed her last round on earth Tuesday morning. She shot a 47 on the back 9. She passed over peacefully Wednesday morning.
She lived her life with generosity, grace, class and style. Her door was always open, a meal and a bed for whomever needed it.
She loved her friends and family most and is survived by 4 adult children: Stephen, Constantine, Susanna and Timothy; 16 grandchildren and spouses; and 23 great-grandchildren.

We survivors believe she has a standing tee time each morning in Heaven with her beloved husband. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her but her love, honor and integrity live on in the legacy of her family and all she touched.
We love you, Mom, and know you are at peace in God's hands.
It was Georgia's wish that donations be made to: Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.

I was so sad to see that your lovely mother Georgia passed away in January. Our parents Pat & Weldon O'Toole met your parents back around 1989 when your parents took them under their gracious wings to help them find a new place to call home in Sun City, AZ. Mom and Dad made several trips before buying and relocating and by that time, they were all friends. Your parents extended their home and meals to our parents during that process! When our father became ill around the same time as your dad, Mom would drop our father off at your parent's home where the two men would hang out for a few hours. By the time both our father's had passed, I had become friends with your mother and would usually visit her when I came from California once or twice a year to visit my mother. I loved Georgia's young attitude and spirt. She always made me laugh. It was always special sitting out on the patio enjoying her lovely yard and hospitality in the delightful Arizona weather! After we moved our mother to Bellingham, WA to be near my sister Sharon, I didn't get to visit. Your mother was a wonderful woman

Beloved Cousins,
We are deeply sadden by Aunt Georgia's passing. To Mother, she was the best sister-in-law you could ask for. Last week we had 25+ inches of snow, I believe that was Aunt Georgia in Heaven clearing the golf course for some good matches! She was a beautiful lady with a huge heart. God Bless,
