He was the husband of Patricia A. (Ferko) Nally.
Born in Reading on May 23, 1935, he was a son of the late Joseph and Adelaide (Mitchell) Nally.
Gerald was a 1953 graduate of Reading Catholic High School and served in the U.S. Army during peacetime.
He was employed as a route salesman by Stroh-man Bakeries for 25 years, retiring in 1997.
Mr. Nally served on Kenhorst Borough Council for many years and was the mayor of Kenhorst from 1998 until 2005.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Debra A. (Nally), wife of James P. Pierce, Wernersville; and Susan M. (Nally), wife of John G. Biscanti, Sinking Spring; one son, Jeffrey P. Nally, Spring City; six grandchildren, one brother, Joseph Nally; and five sisters: Barbara Mierczewski, Kathleen Piano, Monica Mull, Judy Sweitzer and Carol Cardell.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Dennis and Eugene Nally.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist de La Salle RCC, by the Rev. Richard H. Clement. Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Dear Pat, Debbie, Sue, and Jeff,
I was sorry but relieved to hear about the the passing of your Dad(Jerry).
Alot is going on right now and God is keeping us busy. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you as we are going through this in our own ways at the same time.
