Grace Hershberger Obituary


Grace Hope Hershberger, 87, formerly of Exeter Twp., passed away Aug. 26, 2012, at 11:50 a.m. in Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehab Center where she resided for 2 1/2 years.

She was the wife of Miller E. Hershberger, who passed away Jan. 15, 2012.

Born in Reading on Nov. 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Alva (Reynolds) McCaskey.

Mrs. Hershberger was employed as the manager of Lighthouse Book Store in Pottstown for 29 years, retiring in 2002.

Surviving are a daughter, Sherry L. (Hershberger), wife of Douglas L. McFar-land, of Mountville; three grandchildren: Bret, husband of Dana McFarland, Wade, husband of Angela McFarland, and Joshua McFarland; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a caring "Mother" to many children. She was predeceased by seven sib-lings.

She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, where she was a member of the Word of Life Club Leaders, was a Sunday School teacher for more than 20 years, the Good News Club and was very active in Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Graveside Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Rev. Randall A. Grossman will officiate.
