He was married to Betty Lou (Meck) Marbarger. Harold and Betty Lou celebrated fifty-eight years of marriage. Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Harold C. Marbarger Sr. and Dorothy (Sturm) Marbarger.

He was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ in Laureldale, where he was a former consistory member. He was an active volunteer in many aspects of the church.
He served in the Marines. He began an early lifelong passion with his love of horses, which continued through life, breaking, training, and riding western horses.

Dear Deb,
I remember your dad from our elementary school days. It's not too long ago that he was in our office fixing a typewriter that was on its last leg. He was such a nice man. May all the wonderful memories he left behind comfort you at this sad time. God bless.
