James M. Altavilla

James M. Altavilla, 61, of Exeter Township, passed away Monday January 22, 2024 at 8:46 pm at Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Diana L. (High) Altavilla. Born in Reading, Mr. Altavilla was the son of the late Rocco and Agnes (Fusaro) Altavilla. He was of the Catholic Faith and was employed by Arkema, Inc. in Birdsboro as a poly reactor operator. In addition to his wife, Mr. Altavilla is survived by his children Danielle D. Altavilla companion of Brian Gulick of West Reading; Dante J. Altavilla companion of Ellen Neri of Pennside and his granddaughter Clara. Also surviving is his nephew Jason Dietrich of Adamstown and was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Dietrich in 1999. Mr. Altavilla was an incredibly caring man who always made sure his family was taken care of. He will be so, so missed. Prayer Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Monday, January 29, 2024 at 10:30 am. Reverend Matthew Kuna will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mr. James M. Altavilla.
