James Eckert Obituary


James G. Eckert, 75, of Mt. Penn, Pa., passed away Monday, January 9th, at his

residence. James was born in Reading, Pa., on September 13, 1941, a son of the late

Catherine L. (Feyrer) and James I. Eckert.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman

Catholic Church Reading, Pa. James worked as a Postal Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years. James was an avid sports fan and loved all the Philadelphia sports teams.

James is survived by a sister, Joan, wife of Donald Kriebel, of Mt. Penn, Pa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brother, Robert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 13th at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Reading, Pa., followed by internment at 11:30 a.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading, Pa.

The family requests donations to St. Paul's Roman

Catholic Church, 151 North 9th Street, Reading, PA 19601.
