James Watkins Obituary

LANCASTER: James P. Watkins, 60, Lancaster, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Fairfield Medical Center.
He was born April 9, 1949 in Columbus, the son of Donn E. and Gertrude Watkins. James was the Owner and President of Wilson Graphic Arts. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Victory Hill Church, and worked with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and Up with People.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne Watkins; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Joshua N. Murdock; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher J. and S. Renee Watkins, Jonathon M. and Catherine J. Watkins, Andrew P. and Leeah D. Watkins; daughter, Bethany C. Watkins; grandchildren, Brooke Murdock, Dakota Murdock, Carter Murdock, Jordan Watkins, Morgan Watkins and Angelina Watkins; mother, Gertrude Watkins Belt; step father, Floyd F. Belt; brothers, John and Jerry Watkins; sister, Joellen Brula; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donn Edgar Watkins; father-in-law, Elisha Chase Soliday.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Victory Hill Church, 4000 Coonpath Road NW, Lancaster with Pastor Timothy Teague officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery where the Lancaster Burial Detail will perform military graveside services. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Church.
