Jane Dyke Obituary
Jane Dyke, 93, formerly of Whitehall, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 in the Willow Valley Lakes, Lancaster, where she had been residing.
She was born in Mt. Carmel, a daughter of the late Thomas D. and Bertha (Davis) Dyke.
Jane was a graduate of Bloomsburg College and received her Masters Degree from Lehigh University. She was an English teacher for five years at the Honey Brook High School, Honey Brook, PA, and at the Easton High School, Easton, PA, for 36 years before retiring in 1980.
Jane was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster. She was a devoted Presbyterian who loved to sing in the choir and held numerous volunteer positions.
Surviving are three cousins who were like her own children: Randall Wampole of Pottstown, Judson Wam-pole of Brick, NJ, and Glenn Wampole II of Schnecksville and their children.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, in the First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster, 140 East Orange Street, Lancaster 17602. Interment will be private, at the convenience of the family.

Miss Dyke was one of the best teachers I had the pleasure of encountering. I loved hearing her stories of her many adventures overseas. She is a great loss to the world of teaching.
