John Nevin Obituary

John R. Nevin, 81, formerly of Laureldale, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021, in the care of the Lutheran Home at Topton. Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late John and Blanche Nevin. Jack, as his family knew him, graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1958. He held several jobs over the years and retired as a Sales Representative for Fine Wines and Good Spirits of Pennsylvania. A quiet and caring man who valued his privacy, John lived a simple life. He enjoyed collecting records and books. A dutiful son, he cared for his mother until her passing in 2009. He is survived by his second cousins, Joan Ferguson of Fairfax, VA, Jerry Snyder of Cumru Township, Mark A. George (Renee) of Muhlenberg Township, and Harold F. George III (Jessica) of Bernville. John was predeceased by his brother, Clifford, his cousins, Harold F. George Jr. and Jean Snyder, and his second cousin, Thomas R. George. Services will be private at the convenience of Jack’s family. The Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
