Joseph Wein Obituary


Joseph S. Wein, 94, of Wyomissing, passed away on May 12th in his residence.

He was the husband of Rae C. (Yeakley) Wein of 63 years. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Anna (Robinson) Wein.

Joseph was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy Seabees on Kwajalein, Abemama and Iwo Jima in the South Pacific.

He was a member of World Wide Church of God of Quakertown, PA.

Joe was retired from the Boiler Makers Union as a Welder for many years until his retirement in 1985.

After his retirement, he worked for AVIS Car Rentals in New Jersey.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, is one son, Jason S. Wein, Mohrsville, PA; one daughter, Joanne D. Wein, Blacklick, Ohio; two granddaughters, Jacqueline Wein, Shillington, and Stephanie Wein, Wyomissing; one great-granddaughter, Sophia.

Funeral Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Aunt Kitty, Jason Joann and girls. Sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Joe. Will always remember his one line jokes. Now he and our Father can SEMPER FI together in a better place. Rest in peace.
